Education - Academic & Pastoral

The Junior School, which encompasses Years 4,5,6 and 7 encourages boys to develop through a wide range of educational experiences.

Boys have opportunities to explore a wide range of interests from the academic through the Challenge Program; creative arts and spirituality. Aquinas College Junior School runs a Challenge program that is designed to promote independent learning among the boys at the school and is available to all boys throughout the Junior School.

The pastoral dimension of the Junior School is enhanced by the relatively small number of students in each class from Years 4 to 7, with caring teachers who actively work with their students. The College House system provides a vertical integration throughout the school giving the boys both role models and leadership opportunities.

Aquinas College Junior School students enjoy a wonderful environment which enhances an education that clearly has boys at its centre. It is important that boys are able to continue to develop in a caring setting that will nurture their interest in their own education.
